Green Rock Achieves Flustix "Less Plastic" Certification – Exceeding Standards with 99.83% Plastic-Free Content
Green Rock is proud to be the first to achieve the new Flustix Less Plastic certification – and not just to meet the benchmark, but to significantly exceed it across our certified products.
Flustix has officially certified our products under licence numbers FPP-C001 and FPP-C002 with the designation: flustix LESS PLASTICS PRODUCT – MIN 99.25% PLASTICFREE
In their formal attestation, Flustix shared:
“We at Flustix are pleased to provide you with the official attestation for your certified results. The laboratory tests showed a plastic-free content of 99.83% – one of the best results recorded to date. According to scientific literature, this value is not only fully comparable to the polymer content typically required for the production of conventional paper and board materials, but in fact falls below the average levels reported in the literature and is internationally recognised as a minimum benchmark for the production of conventional paper and board materials.”
To clarify: the minimal plastic content identified is solely from the original paperboard manufacturing process, where trace elements may remain as part of conventional paperboard production. Importantly, our cups contain no plastic lining whatsoever, unlike traditional or bioplastic-lined alternatives.
This means our cups are fully recyclable in standard paper and cardboard waste streams, just like newspaper or corrugated packaging — making them a truly sustainable solution for conscious consumers and businesses alike.
This outstanding result is a testament to Green Rock’s commitment to eliminating plastic at the source – helping customers make better choices, backed by trusted, independent third-party verification.
